DioxiRinse Mouthwash and DioxiBrite Toothpaste kill almost all bacteria and viruses within a minute. Typically, bactericidal testing is performed in vitro (in the lab). As most of us know, deactivating microorganisms within the body (in vivo) is quite a bit more difficult, especially when testing in the mouth, where organic material such as saliva and food protect the bacteria.

In this video, a sample of saliva was tested for bacteria before and after rinsing with DioxiRinse Mouthwash. With a magnification of 500 times, one can see wiggling and vibrating bacteria before rinsing, indicating that the bacteria are alive. After briefly rinsing with DioxiRinse, wiggling and vibrations have stopped or are greatly reduced, indicating most of the bacteria are dead or in the process of dying.
